We have had a wonderful time reaching the Holy Land. After a lunch at Golden Corral and a short drive to O’Hare we settled in, awaiting two 5 hour plus flights to London and Tel Aviv. The snow in Chicago was beautiful but didn’t stop us from being able to leave. A short power outage set us back by 20 minutes, though. London in darkness was beautiful, but I’m sure not half as beautiful as it would have been if we had flown into Heathrow International before dawn. It didn’t take us long before we were called to board our flight to Tel Aviv.
We set down in Tel Aviv just shortly after 3:00PM Israel time (10:00AM Indiana time). What a beautiful Mediterranean city! All of its modern amenities make it an attractive place for many to vacation. We have settled in and had a great meal at a Brazilian steakhouse that is here at our hotel. I am writing as many are settling in for a well-deserved rest and as my own eyelids are drooping. We are all excited, but I am sure that no one will have trouble sleeping tonight. Sorry to those who may have been awaiting our post. There was no internet service available. I’ll post this at the next available opportunity along with some pictures.
The pictures include our flights, Tel Aviv, our room and view of the Mediterranean, and our dinner.
